Freedom Rings: Instagram

Independence Day.

We slept late,

ate oatmeal for breakfast,

and then Hub fixed our broken dryer (hooray!),

while I cleaned the kitchen and prepared dinner in the crock pot.

Later we went to the ctiy and had a 4pm snack at Sonic,

shopped for a wedding gift for a friend,

drove to the river to see the festivities at the amphitheater,

and I saw the trolley for the first time. *ding ding*

That evening we came home to a warm dinner -- I love crock pot meals! --

and sat on the back porch and enjoyed the view,

while we drank Green Apple Smirnoff to celebrate, just the two of us and the dog.

(No, the dog did not drink Smirnoff.)

We live on a big hill and so were able to see five or six different fireworks shows

in five or six different towns from our house. It was amazing.

The longer we live here, the more I love our house and the view.
